As parents we are all to often asked to focus on the things our children can’t do and as an organisation we often talk about the challenges our members face.
The Wow Board celebrates all those successes and wonderful achievements of the Empathy family, however large or small, and we’d love to hear your story. Click here to view the Wow Board and start sharing those successes!

This week is National Volunteer Week and organisations all over the country are celebrating what is achieved by the dedication of volunteers.
We are celebrating with our Big Camp Out, which will allow all those involved in Empathy to have a voice at our AGM and ensure that the Trustees are well informed. All of our Trustees are volunteers and give their time, energy and skills absolutely free to Empathy and without them we would not exist.
Most of our Trustees are users and it is very important to us to keep those that use the service at it heart, however we also need a balanced prospective and welcome skills, experience, advice and enthusiasm from anywhere. Therefore if you have an interest in improving the lives of children and young people, Autism or in just local services for local people and feel you have any skills, experience and time that you could offer to Empathy we would love to hear from you.
Please email using the contact form or call Sam for an informal chat on 07790584987
Please spare a few moments to complete a questionnaire. The Shropshire Children’s Trust has commissioned an Autism Needs Assessment (for ages 0-25). As part of this needs assessment they are keen to understand the views of parents, service providers and schools about the needs of children and young people with autism spectrum and behaviour disorders.
Please click here for the link to the parent questionnaire. It is important that as many parents as possible complete it since the results will affect the services that will be available for families in the future.
Questionnaires for service providers and schools are also available and one for young people aged 16 to 25 is being developed. The questionnaires are live until 29 March.
Empathy are delighted to have been nominated in the The Businesses for Children Awards in the category Children’s Charity 2015.

The winners will be announced at the award ceremony on the evening of March 14th 2015.
In March 2014 we launched our website. Since then it has been visited 4,000 times – the busiest day was April 26 when it was visited 207 times. Our web hosts have produced a report detailing the website activity during 2014, it shows what people were most interested in reading. We will use this information make the website bigger and better in 2015!
